Debate “Islam and the West: A Talk with Ed Husain”

Prague Centre for Middle East Relations (PCMR) of CEVRO Institute co-organised an event hosted by the Group of European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) “Islam and the West: A Talk with Ed Husain.” The event took place on Thursday, February 6, 2020 from 17:00 at the atrium of CEVRO Institute (Jungmannova 17, Prague 1). Our distinguished guest was:
- Ed Husain, renown British expert on issues of Islamic radicalism.
The event was moderated by Member of the European Parliament (MEP) Jan Zahradil.
Ed Husain (born 25 December 1974) is a leading British and international expert on radical Islamism, a regular commentator on the world’s major media outlets (CNN, Fox, BBC, FT, NYT), author of “The Islamist and House of Islam.” He is currently working in the Middle East Program at the American Wilson Center and at the British think-tank Civitas. He also co-founded British counter-extremism think-tank Quilliam and has advised several governments on national security issues and works with the British Foreign Office. He also worked at Council on Foreign Relations and his disseration was supervised by late Sir Roger Scruton
